What's the Difference Between Dips and Boosters?
Carp are particularly fussy fish, and anglers often have to put in a lot of effort to make their bait appealing. That's why anglers who specialize in catching these finicky fish use various "tools" to attract their attention, such as protein balls in thousands of scents, fishing pellets, and highly stimulating boosters and dips that act on their senses.
In this article, we will focus on the latter two products and try to explain how they differ from each other and when it is advisable to use them.
The primary sense in fish is their sense of smell, which plays a crucial role in their ability to detect odors associated with bait and lure, even without the need to take it into their mouth. This is why anglers have introduced the practice of adding various flavors to baits to more effectively attract fish.
Dips and boosters are liquid treats for fish, which are intended to enrich the aroma of lures and groundbait. They are characterized by extremely intense scents, often perceived as very distinctive, such as squid, fermented shrimp, and the more pleasant for the nose - fruits or even bubble gum.
The key difference between these products is their consistency: boosters have a less dense consistency and are most often used for soaking grains and pellets. Whereas dense dips are intended to supercharge our lures, which are later rigged on the hair.
