Tiger nuts - a true delicacy in a carp's diet. Wherever carps are familiar with tiger nuts, it is one of the most effective baits and groundbaits. You can be sure that even Zenek would not be ashamed to use them to catch his big carp! :) 

Preparation method:
Preparing tiger nuts is uncomplicated - simply soak them in water for 24-48 hours, then add sugar and boil for 30 - 180 minutes. This way, tiger nuts will develop their properties, acquiring a nutty-sweet scent and flavor. Thanks to their high sugar, vitamin, and mineral content, they are not only a tasty treat but also a nutritious dietary supplement.

There are several schools of thought regarding the preparation and use of tiger nuts, including:
1) Fresh Tiger Nuts - used immediately after cooking without or with various additives such as sugar, honey, talin, or flavoring.
2) Fermented Tiger Nuts - some advocate preparing the nuts well before the fishing session and using them only once they have fermented (the liquid in which the nuts were boiled transforms into a gel).
3) Pickled Tiger Nuts

Tiger nuts are not digested by carps (similarly to how mushrooms are not digested by humans) and should be used sensibly in fisheries. 

Available Sizes:

• Mini - sized 6-8 mm - perfect for long-distance carpet baiting and as a component of spod mixes. The smaller size means that there are more nuts per kilogram... and fish have to stay longer in the fishing spot to collect a larger quantity of grains.
• Standard - sized  8-12 mm - versatile for both long-distance carpet baiting, spot baiting and for angling. The varied diameter of the bait means that carps take different sizes of groundbait, becoming less cautious. 
• XL Jumbo - sized 10-18 mm - generally used as bait or for spot baiting. Large nuts are bypassed by most fish except for carps and grass carps. Versatile for both long-distance carpet baiting, spot baiting and for angling. The varied diameter of the baits means that carps take different sizes of groundbait, becoming less cautious. 
• XL Negro 8-18 mm - with universal application. You can use them both for baiting and angling. A special variety with a darker skin. Especially recommended in heavily pressured fisheries where fish start associating standard nuts with danger. They also perform well in clear, shallow waters - as they are harder to spot by ducks and swans which can wreak havoc on the baited spot...
