Wafters Floating Pellets
Wafters pellets are a type of floating pellets with minimal buoyancy. The weight of the hook alone is enough to balance out the buoyancy of the wafters. This results in a naturally presented bait on the bottom, which also counterbalances the weight of the hook, making the bait easily sucked in by the fish along with the hook into its mouth after a gentle suck. Wafters floating pellets have been convincing an ever-growing community of carp anglers due to their effective specificity. These pellets are often also referred to as neutral pellets.
Types of Wafters Pellets
Carp wafters most commonly come in the shape of a pellet or dumbell. The vast majority of brands producing baits for carp fishing now include attractive pellets in their range. Therefore, they are available in a wide variety of flavors and sizes, usually matched to a series of baits.
The buoyancy of wafters pellets is most commonly achieved by mixing a standard mix of sinking pellets with a pop-up mix or finely ground cork in the right proportions.
