The RidgeMonkey MarkaLead is a lead weight with a unique shape designed to identify the type of lakebed, which is crucial for selecting the right rig and also for positioning the setup - bait presentation and effective rig mechanics are key! The combination of a rounded front part and stabilizing fins has resulted in a product that not only can be cast accurately to the desired fishing spot, but also allows the angler to "feel" the bottom composition once the weight hits the lakebed. The majority of the MarkaLead's weight is concentrated in the front 'ball' section, providing a very distinct signal felt through the rod when the weight hits a hard, gravelly bottom. Additionally, this design effectively transmits vibrations when the weight is dragged along the lakebed. The MarkaLead is equipped with a swivel with a large eye, making it easy to attach to the fishing line.
