Nash Zig Bugs Natural Critters Hookless Carp Flies
Zig Bugs are floating carp flies tied on shanks without hooks. This is a solution for carp anglers who do not use small hooks or when circumstances require the use of larger hook sizes (disputes, heavy vegetation, etc.). When fish are not feeding on the bottom but are moving in the water column or collecting baits from the surface, instead of sitting idly by waiting for a miracle, let's try a different approach and present the bait where the fish are. Fishing in the water column with a Zig Rig setup is a much more active form of carp fishing than simply waiting for a bite. After casting the setup, leave it in place for 20-30 minutes; if nothing happens - change the bait's swimming depth, change the bait, or recast the setup. In Zig Rig fishing, the rule is: if nothing is happening - take action! Zig Bugs can be additionally flavored, but from experience, I know it's not necessary. The flies (Zig Bugs) mimic insects that fish naturally feed on.
