The Nash Zig Bugs Glow Bugs are floating, phosphorescent carp flies. They are perfect for night-time Zig Rig tests. To make the fly glow, simply expose it to a flashlight or flash it with a camera for a few seconds. The lure will emit a soft green light for several hours. When fish are not feeding on the bottom but are moving through the water column or picking up baits from the surface, instead of sitting idly waiting for a miracle, let's try a different approach and present the bait where the fish are. Fishing in the water column with a Zig Rig setup is a much more active form of carp fishing than simply waiting for a bite. After casting the setup, leave it in place for 20-30 minutes; if nothing happens, change the depth at which the bait is swimming, change the bait, or recast the setup. When fishing with a Zig Rig, the rule of thumb is: if nothing happens - take action! Zig Bugs can be additionally flavored, but from experience, I know that this is not necessary. The flies (Zig Bugs) mimic the insects on which fish naturally feed. Zig Bugs are tied on eyed hooks.
