Bivvy Overwraps
A bivvy overwrap is a special type of additional covering for a carp tent, which creates an extra layer that allows for better heat retention inside the tent and also minimizes the condensation of water vapour on the internal walls of the tent.
An overwrap for a tent is indispensable, especially when planning sessions during the coldest periods of the season, including winter. An additional layer of air between the overwrap layer and the tent wall acts as an extra insulating layer, which will significantly improve the retention of warmth in the tent. This layer also prevents water vapour from condensing on the internal walls of the tent, which can be extremely annoying, especially on damp and cold days.
An overwrap for a tent is not universal, each tent model has its dedicated overwrap.
In the market, there is also a more trimmed down version of the tent overwrap, essentially a carp tent cap, which only covers the top part of the tent. A cap, just like an overwrap, helps to retain a bit more heat and also prevents the condensation of water vapour.
A cap is suitable for the warmer periods of the season, while a full overwrap covering the entire tent is great for the coldest sessions.
