JRC Carp Rods
Carp rods, commonly known as "carp sticks," are characterized by specific features and construction. They are most often made of carbon fiber with a specific arrangement of guides and a split handle that facilitates a firm grip during casting.
Length of rods - Carp rods are most commonly made in three lengths given in English feet: 10' (3m), 12' (3.6m), and 13' (3.9m). Shorter versions are designed for fishing from boats, medium ones are the most common and universal, while the longer rods are mainly intended for extremely long casting distances.
Flexibility of rods - also known as the action curve, is most often indicated on a scale from 2-3.5 lb, that is 2.0; 2.75; 3.0; 3.25, and 3.5 lb. The higher the lb, the stiffer the rod allowing for casting the rig over greater distances. The lower the lb, the more flexible the rod, offering more pleasure during the fight. High-quality rods allow combining both characteristics to achieve excellent casting parameters while maintaining the joy of the fight.
The most popular and versatile rods are the 12' (3.60m) rods with a 3.0 lb action curve.
