4Success Carp Rods
Carp rods - commonly known as "carp sticks," are characterized by specific features and construction. They are most often made of carbon fibre with a particular arrangement of guides and a split handle that facilitates a secure grip during casting.
Length of rods - carp rods are most commonly made in three lengths given in English feet: 10' (3 m), 12' (3.6m), and 13' (3.9m). Shorter versions are intended for boat fishing, medium ones are the most common and versatile, while the longer ones are mainly designed for extremely long-distance casting.
Flexibility of rods - also known as the test curve, is most often rated on a scale from 2-3.5 lb, for example, 2.0; 2.75; 3.0; 3.25, and 3.5 lb. The higher the lb rating, the stiffer the rod, allowing the angler to cast the rig further. The lower the lb rating, the more flexible the rod, offering a more enjoyable fight during the haul. High-quality rods allow combining both features to achieve excellent casting parameters while maintaining the pleasure of the fight.
The most popular and versatile rods are 12' (3.60m) in length with a 3.0 lb test curve.
