LEADCORE
LeadCore is one of the most commonly used materials for creating the terminal carp rig. The main characteristic of carp leadcore is its high abrasion resistance, as well as its substantial weight. It protects both the rig and the body of the fish from damage and abrasion. The LeadCore leader, due to the specific construction of the braided material, can be spliced using a fine needle, thus eliminating the need for knots to connect it with other rig components. This ensures a much more durable solution than using standard fishing knots.
The most popular types of leadcore available on the market
Leadcore with a core - Has an inner core made of soft lead. Thanks to this, the leadcore adheres closely to the bottom of the water body, not spooking the fish. This model is the most popular on the market and the most frequently chosen by carp anglers.
Leadcore without a core - This type of leadcore does not have an inner core but is equally well weighted as the core model. Its advantage lies in the fact that it is significantly more flexible than the core model. It settles better on uneven bottoms, often strewn with sticks or underwater vegetation, without spooking the cautious fish.
