The tapered mainline is designed for casting anglers who seek a knotless connection between the mainline and the leader. Each end of the LongChuck Tapered Mainline features an 8-meter section with a 0.47mm diameter line, followed by a smooth 2-meter taper down to the actual thickness of the mainline. In case one end of the line breaks, you can easily rewind it to utilize the leader section at the other end. This line has the same properties as the standard LongChuck model. It's made from entirely pure mono material which does not contain any color-altering dyes that can affect the molecular structure of the line and its increased weight. As a result, the line is lightweight and has reduced stretch, directly influencing the achievable casting distance. The line also has low water absorption and an excellent knot strength to diameter ratio.
