Gamakatsu G-Carp Wide Gape Super Hooks
The Wide Gape Super is a hook designed for stiff rig materials such as mono or fluorocarbon, thanks to the eye bent outward at a 25° angle. It is perfect for creating the popular Chod Rig. Depending on the used rig combination, this hook is suitable for both buoyant and sinking baits. The Wide Gape Super is coated with a Teflon layer, which enhances its smoothness and also reduces light reflections on its surface. The inwardly curved point reduces the risk of blunting on gravelly bottoms, and the micro barb ensures a firm hold in the fish's mouth while minimizing the damage caused by hook penetration.
Remember to take care of any wound caused by the hook in the fish's mouth after each unhooking by spraying it with an appropriate disinfectant. Also, check the rest of the fish's body for any other potential injuries and take care of them as well.
