Korda Longshank Beaked - barbless
Exceptional barbless carp hooks, developed by the renowned carp angler, Danny Fairbrass. These are a reliable tool for any carp angler who appreciates effective fishing.
The foundation of this hook are popular fly patterns, which gained recognition among carp anglers due to their shape and excellent grip. Now, after 20 years, the Longshank model has been improved and is even sharper and stronger. Minor modifications introduced to the Longshank Beaked model are the result of Danny Fairbrass's underwater observations.
The most significant change was equipping the hook with a beaked point, a bent blade that resembles the claw of a predator bird. Tests have shown that such a modification significantly increases the number of successful self-hookings. Another change was to increase the hook's eye angle to 40 degrees. The inward directed eye makes the hook rotate and anchor in the carp's mouth very quickly, resulting in high efficiency.
Like the original model, the Longshank Beaked is forged, with a thickened wire for added strength, and a PTFE coating increases its durability as well as its camouflage at the bottom. Hooks are available in sizes 2, 4, 6, and 8, with microbarbs and without, in packs of ten.
