Korda Longshank Beaked - Barbed
This model was developed by the renowned carp angler, Danny Fairbrass, and it's an exceptionally effective tool for anyone who values successful carp fishing. This hook is based on popular fly patterns, which have gained recognition among carp anglers due to their shape and excellent grip. Now, after 20 years, the Longhsank model has been improved and is even sharper and stronger.
The minor modifications introduced to the Longshank Beaked model are the result of Danny Fairbrass's underwater observations. The most significant change was to equip the hook with a beaked point, a bent blade that resembles the claw of a predatory bird. Tests have shown that such a modification significantly increases the number of successful self-hooks. Another change was to increase the hook eye's tilt angle to 40 degrees. The inward-facing eye causes the hook to rotate and anchor in the carp's mouth incredibly quickly, which results in high effectiveness. Like the original model, the Longshank Beaked is forged, with a thickened wire for additional strength, and a PTFE coating enhances its durability and camouflage on the bottom. The hooks are available in sizes 2, 4, 6, and 8, with and without micro-barbs, in packs of ten pieces.
