Gardner Covert Tungsten Chod Beads with Added Weight
These beads have been specifically designed for use with Chod/Helicopter rigs, but their construction allows for versatility across various other applications. They're intended to secure knots and to lock the Chod/Helicopter rig in the desired position. Made of a flexible material with added tungsten, the beads are heavy which helps the rig to stay pinned to the lakebed. The tapering of the bead on one side is intentional - it facilitates the sliding of the rig off the knot in the event of a break-off during a fight, which can save the fish's life. The bead can also be used as a weight on the leader section. This method is significantly more effective than standard weight paste, which can easily be removed by crayfish at the fishing spot.
