Avid Carp qc Drop-Off Stem
The DROP-OFF system suitable for both AVID CARP inline weights and, for example, Korda. This system is used in situations where we prefer to fish with In Line weights in areas with a lot of snags.
How to use with Leadcore:
- to assemble the rig, use exactly the same components as with a standard In-Line setup, you can utilize Leadcore, bare line, Camo Leader, or Fluorocarbon as anti-tangle material
- thread a protective rubber, also known as "rubbers," onto the material
- tie the leadcore and the hooklink to the small ring on the drop-off system
- press the drop-off system into the weight in place of the swivel
- run the leadcore outside (not inside the weight)
- then, just like with a standard inline setup, slide the rubbers onto the protruding tube of the weight
- all set! :)
This setup will cause the weight to detach from the rig at the first few tugs of the fish, greatly increasing your chances of landing a big fish from snags.
