• Improved hook set and reduced bait expulsion - Creates a much wider hooking angle compared to the standard knotless knot or fishing with Zig Bugs (no interference from foam or fibers that can prevent hook penetration), enhancing the chance of hooking fish.
• Increased hooking potential - The Aligna sleeve ensures that the bait is always positioned in the center. A drawback of the knotless knot is that on thinner lines, the hair naturally slides to one side, resulting in weaker hook penetration.
• Ability to use stronger knots - Enables you to tie the hook to the leader using Palomar or Grinner knots, rather than a knotless knot. These are much stronger and protect against leader damage by the hook eye during the fight with the fish.
• Much more cost-effective - When the hook becomes dull, simply slide the Aligna sleeve onto the leader and tie on a new hook. In contrast, with Zig Bug lures, a dulled hook means discarding the entire thing, which can be very costly.
