Insulated bags are an essential type of bag for transporting and storing food or carp baits by the water. Their interior features an insulating foil and a finish that maintains a low temperature inside for an extended period. An insulated bag is perfect for storing food and also for keeping frozen protein balls at a low temperature in field conditions.
In the market, there are various types of bags with an insulating compartment - from models strictly designed for keeping baits and groundbaits to complex bivvy bags with multiple compartments, which, besides the insulated section, have separate compartments for products that do not require low temperatures.
An insulated bag does not cool but merely insulates the temperature inside from the external temperature. Therefore, it is advisable to place frozen inserts inside the bag before adding food, or to pre-chill drinks and food in the fridge before storage.
