The universal size 14000 is perfect for both bait boat and casting applications. The reel utilizes Shimano's proprietary HAGANE technology, which ensures significantly greater durability under load and minimal wear of the gear compared to the pressure-cast transmissions typically used in most reels within this price range. Thanks to the X-SHIP technology, the drive components are stabilized, resulting in a smoother and lighter reel operation, even under heavy load during extreme fights. SilentDrive is another technology that significantly improves the smoothness of the XSE model. The perfect alignment of gear components and the elimination of unnecessary micro-play have resulted in an incredibly quiet reel—you can practically only hear the air being sliced by the rotating rotor with the bail arm!
