The versatile 14000 size is perfect for both bait boat and casting applications. The reel utilizes Shimano's proprietary HAGANE technology, ensuring significantly greater durability under strain and minimal gear wear compared to the die-cast gears commonly used in most reels within this price range. With the X-SHIP technology, the drive components are stabilized, resulting in a smoother and lighter reel operation, even under heavy loads during extreme fights. SilentDrive is another technology that considerably improves the operating culture of the XTE model. The perfect alignment of gear components and absence of unnecessary micro-play has resulted in an incredibly quiet reel - you can practically hear only the rotor with the bail arm cutting through the air as it spins!
