Big Baitrunner CI4 14000 XT-B LC Carp Reel
Replacing a reel that hasn't needed service for 15 years is no trivial matter and requires thorough consideration. Not without reason, the old Big Baitrunner LC was (and still is) considered an "indispensable casting and fishing gear element." We dedicated many days to meticulous market research and field tests with experts to ensure that our Japanese designers came up with the best possible design for the new Long Cast.
And we can announce: THEY SUCCEEDED! Our research and design team created a completely new Long Cast using the latest technologies and in a modern form. And not just in one size!
It's immediately apparent that the design is entirely different from their bulky-looking predecessors. The new design, which can be described as "elegance of strength," bears the touch of a woman's hand. It's also worth noting that the new Baitrunners are equipped with an AR-C spool.
The new Long Cast has also changed internally:
- Aerowrap II was built in, ensuring slow spool oscillation that guarantees the best line lay for longer casts.
- All bearings were replaced with sealed A-RB bearings to increase durability and eliminate corrosion.
- The transmission was redesigned to minimize friction, thereby reducing energy loss, making the reel smoother than before.
- A service port was added to facilitate lubrication of the mechanism when needed.
- A newly designed aluminum handle is lighter but can transfer more power.
- The bail arm was replaced with a tapered bail, better guiding the line to the line roller, preventing line tangles.
